Age Of Iron Bethel, Vermont native John Young's first exposure to blacksmithing came when his parents sent him to a farm and wilderness camp in Vermont. John was mesmerized by the ease with which the blacksmith shaped the red-hot steel. After high school, John studied blacksmithing at Philadelphia College of Art. His business, Age of Iron, has supplied New England with a wide range of fine iron pieces. These fine door knockers are one of John's best pieces of functional sculpture.
